Professional Liability Insurance Program

All of Alberta’s professional health regulators are required to ensure their registrants have professional liability insurance in place to respond to claims for compensation by patients in the result of clinical negligence.

The CDSA (College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta) has a duty to protect the public. The Professional Liability Program integrates insurance coverage with registration as a dentist in Alberta. This approach provides the CDSA with the assurance that Alberta dentists always have the required professional liability insurance to practice in Alberta.
