Your Practice Permit

Your Practice Permit tells you and your patients important things like:

  • the current year of registration
  • your registration number
  • whether you are a General, Specialist, or General & Specialist Dentist

You must either display your permit where you practice or produce it when asked to. You can download and print your permit in the Registrant Portal.

Not practicing

If you plan to cancel your registration as a regulated dentist in Alberta due to retirement, moving out of the province or outside of Canada, sabbatical, maternity leave or post-graduate studies, visit the Cancellation of a Practice Permit page.
